Nikole Roberts, Counseling Intern
My goal as a compassionate and dedicated therapist is a commitment to helping individuals, families, and children feel heard, validated, and empowered. I believe in a holistic approach, recognizing the individual’s autonomy and understanding how their past experiences, environments, and family systems can impact their mental health. I utilize integrative and evidence-based interventions tailored to the client and their needs, helping them make meaningful changes with these practical tools to navigate life stressors. I am passionate about advocacy and education to promote emotional intelligence, while identifying thought processes and related behaviors.
I attend Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids where I am a second-year student in the Master of Arts program for Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I believe in the uniqueness and diversity of my clients while fostering an empathetic and integrative approach as we navigate life’s challenges. I focus on emotional regulation, trauma-informed care, and neurodiversity with children, adolescents, and adults in a supportive, yet collaborative space for healing and growth.
In my free time, you can find me reading or listening to podcasts, volunteering in the schools with children who have autism or ADHD, or attending travel hockey/baseball or basketball games with my kiddos!
